SaferDeli project meeting in Split

The SaferDeli consortium, under the coordination of Project Coordinator University pf West Attica, held their 2nd physical project meeting in Split, Croatia. The meeting took place at the premises of the host partner, the Split Technical High School for Transport and Logistics, on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of June 2024.

Members of the INTEREST Lab team from the Unit of Safe and Sustainable Mobility traveled there and contributed significantly by having the overall coordination of the meeting agenda and working sessions.

Having the VET training of delivery two-wheelers on road safety as the core topic, the partnership discussed about the progress of the project, documented the finalized activities, such as the identification of good practices and national regulations on road safety for last-mile-delivery professionals, the questionnaire survey that was contacted in each country. Each Activity Leader presented the actions taken, the outcomes derived and the correlation with the rest of the work plan. Emphasizing on learning from each other, the results of the survey and experiences were exchanged among partners, while similarities and differences were identified and analyzed.

Finally, the upcoming interesting steps of the project including the development of the self-paced online course on road safety for last-mile-delivery riders as well as the interactive virtual learning platform were also discussed defining the next steps of successful implementation.

The SaferDeli project, entitled “Safer driving behaviour for last-mile-delivery professionals through digital and multidisciplinary training” is funded by the European Union, in the frame of Erasmus+ Programme Action KA220-VET, managed by the Hellenic National Agency, IKY.
